Suspension – Retention –Slingspring

Q. What type of packaging make up the Flex N' Stretch family?
A. The Flex N' Stretch family is made up of Suspension Packs, Inclosure Packs and Slingspring Packs. Slingspring combines the best of the Suspension and Inclosure designs. The determination as to which Flex N' Stretch design to use is primarily based on the size, weight, shape and fragility of your product. In some case there are standard Flex N' Stretch Packs designed for specific fragile products, such as the Slingspring Laptop Pack, hard drive pack, monitor packs, etc. If you don't see the pack your looking for call 1-800-22-0221 ask for a Sales Rep or for more in depth information on each of these product lines please visit the Packaging Solutions page.

Q. Are there any weight and/or size limitations with regard to Flex N' Stretch?
A.
Many of the advances we've made in package design have started with so-called "unreasonable" requests. The general guideline we currently use for size and weight is if the product can be protected within a container that meets the maximum acceptable girth requirements for UPS, FedEx, DHL and the like and the product weight is less than 80 pounds then we'd like to work with you to design a successful solution.

Q. How do I determine the shipping cube of a package?
A.
The shipping cube (dimensional weight) is used to determine what weight you package will ship at for overnight and second day deliveries. If the dimensional weight of your product is greater than the true weight, it will ship based on your cube size. You can determine the dimensional weight by using the following formula:

Length x Width x Height = Total Cubic Inches
Total Cubic Inches ÷ 194 = Dimensional Weight (Cube Size)

Remember, the shipping companies will take the greater of the two, true weight vs. dimensional weight, when charging you for express deliveries.

Q. What happens if the hammock is punctured or torn?
A.
The polyurethane film that we use resists puncturing and, if punctured, will not tear ensuring the hammock will remain intact, even when subjected to the most adverse environmental and use conditions. More importantly, this film has the best endorsement of allnot one failure ever has occurred due to puncturing or tearing.

Q. Will my employees find your packs as easy to use as my current pack?
A.
Yes, easier actually. Flex N' Stretch packs will not only reduce packing time but will very quickly be accepted as the preferred pack.

Q. How difficult is it to have a Flex N' Stretch Pack customized to my needs and tested to meet my requirements?
A.
It isn't difficult it's easy! Go to the Contact Page and fill in the form. We look forward to your call.

Crystalair Compression

Q. What happens if the film gets torn or punctured?
A.
If the polyurethane film is punctured the tear will not propagate, or zipper. This means the pack can be used over and over without any concern about product protection. With the standard models the patented removable rings can be replaced. Simply call 1-800-222-0221, or email us for pricing information. Then, all you have to do is snap out the old ring and snap in the new one.

Q. Can your Crystalair Packs meet my clean room standards?
A.
We can clean to Class 100

Q. I'm worried about ESD. Can I get an anti static version of this pack?
A.
The Crystalair Pack can be treated with a topical anti-stat.

Pouches, Bags & Packs

Q. How long do your ESD properties last?
A.
Over two years! There are two reasons for this long-life. The first is Cancel's tapered cell wall construction, which makes it impervious to puncture, temperature or atmospheric pressure. The second reason is Cancel's internal anti-stat, which is certified to comply with industry standards for two years under normal conditionsa claim no other manufacturer can make.

Q. Can the Cancel Pouches be customized or are they available in Standard sizes only?
A.
ADE offers a wide variety of custom options including special liners, Information labels, special closures and even custom printing! To inquire about these capabilities simply log on to the easy to use CPR Program or call ADE.

Q. My products are not ESD sensitive, can I get your high performance pouches without any ESD features?
A.
Absolutely! All the physical performance attributes available in the Cancel material are also available in our Nescel Cushioned Pouches. Nescel has been used for years in protecting fragile, valuable gift ware and is the recognized leader in protecting delicate foodstuffs from shipping damage.

Cushioning Material

Q. Do Caddy-Packs protect as well as my convoluted foam pack?
A.
The answer is it doesn't protect as wellit protects better! The reason can be found in the Cancel Cushioning. Because Cancel is specifically designed for lightweight products, it can deliver the same protection as the foam, which is designed for general-purpose protection. From an anti-stat standpoint there's no comparison. The best foam anti-stat will last no more than 1 year. Cancel is certified to deliver anti-static performance for 2 years, ensuring that the Caddy-Pack can be safely reused, thus minimizing you packaging costs.

Q. Our ESD program requires that we shield our products. Can your packs be adapted to meet those requirements?
A.
Both the Caddy-Pack and the Cancel Packs are available with either metalized Cancel or foil-lined board for EMI and RFI shielding. Further, they're available in either Standard sizes or can be completely customized to meet your specifications.

Nescel® & Cancel® Cushioning Materials

Q. Why can't I get your cushioning materials to "pop" when I squeeze your "bubbles"?
A.
Because Nescel and Cancel don't have any "bubbles" to "pop". When squeezed or compressed, Nescel and Cancel allow the air to transfer between their tapered cell walls. This creates gentle, resilient, reliable protection for lightweight, fragile productsregardless of puncture, temperature or atmospheric conditions. By NOT "popping" we can go on "protecting" for a long, long time!

Q. What's the difference between Cancel and Nescel?
A.
Cancel is designed specifically for the Electronics market. It is available with either static-free or ESD shielding capabilities. Utilizing an internal anti-stat (either amine based or amine-free), Cancel is recognized as the superior method for protecting sensitive electronic components from handling and shipping damage. Nescel is designed to deliver superior protection to light weight fragile products such as gift ware, confectionary goods and other valuable products, which don't require ESD protection.

Q. What Custom Options are available on these cushioning materials?
A.
Both are available in roll, perforated rolls, sheets, or die cut forms. Further, both can be custom printed or colored at little or no up- charge. Both can be laminated to other materials to enhance the performance of both materials. If you have an unusual need, contact us by phone or through the CPR Program. We welcome your ideas!

Q. Can I get my company's name or logo printed on your cushioning materials?
A.
Yes!

Q. Can I get your cushioning materials in different colors
A.
Yes!

Q. What about aromas?
A. Yes! What did you have in mind?
